The City was incorporated in 1965 and is located in the Northern Antelope Valley in Kern County. Since that time, the community has experienced a significant level of growth to the current population of approximately 14,120 residents (2010 US Census). California City is a master planned community with over 52,000 lots and is the third largest city in land area in the State of California. The City maintains two parks, a senior center, a community center, a sports center, tennis courts, and a pool.
